Tour Overview
The 4 days Bwindi Gorillas and Lake Mburo safari will expose you to both Uganda’s Forested parts and the Savannah Plains in Bwindi Impenetrable and Lake Mburo National Parks respectively.
While in these two parks you will see various wildlife species like the Mountain gorillas, forest elephants, buffaloes, monkeys in Bwindi, and a big number of zebras, topis, Uganda kobs, giraffes, among others in Lake Mburo as well as bird species in both parks and above all you will enjoy the comfortable hospitable climate and nature.
Tour itinerary
Day 1: From Kampala to Bwindi National Park
On this day, you will set off from Kampala at 7 am immediately after your breakfast for the 8hours journey. Drive to the Southwestern part of Uganda to Bwindi. This journey will be incredible as you will be seeing various things on the way such as banana and coffee plantations, long horned cattle, rolling hills.
You will have a stop in Mbarara town after which you will embark on the road through the terraced Kigezi highlands, later arrive at Bwindi impenetrable National Park which hosts a rich ecosystem of different living organisms which you will be viewing the next day.
Enjoy Dinner and Overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking
Start your day with a tasty breakfast and make sure you carry packed lunch from the lodge, also other materials you might need like cameras, sturdy shoes, drinking water, sun glasses, rain jackets, and a pair of long trousers. Your guide will take you to the information center for briefing where you will meet with other trekkers before you start trekking at 8:00am. After briefing, enter the mighty Bwindi forest as led by the Park rangers, who will take you to where the Gorillas can be located at that time. The activity takes around 2 to 8 hours, this is because these gentle giants migrate and cannot be stationed in one place, they move basing on the availability of food and water. Also remember that no skill is needed to track gorillas though one needs to be fit enough at least.
There is nothing as astonishing and thrilling as watching the silverbacks guard their bases, watch the females feed young ones, play, and grumble at each other among other things, you will take enough photos. Return to the lodge after, in the evening if time is available you could also have a walk in the Batwa community and see how they live. After have dinner and overnight

Day 3: Bwindi to Lake Mburo National Park
In the morning on this day, you will have breakfast and thereafter you will drive eastwards to Lake Mburo National Park a home to large numbers of antelopes, and other animals like Bushels Zebras, hippos, warthogs, buffaloes, and birds, leaving the spectacular Kigezi highlands behind passing via Mbarara town which is home to the long-horned cattle.
You will have lunch along the way, later arrive at the park, check in at the lodge and have an evening game drive. Have dinner and Overnight.

Day 4: Boat Safari on Lake Mburo and Departure back to Kampala
Have breakfast, and set out on a boat safari where you will be able to see other smaller lakes like Lake Bwama and Lake Kazamu, also enjoy watching buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, near the shallow waters. There will be a chance to see the birds like the crested cranes, saddle bill stork, Abyssinian ground hornbills and others.
After, head back to the lodge, unwind, as you relax at the bar area or the swimming pool. Later have lunch and say bye to the park staff and the park itself as you travel back to Kampala. You will have a stopover at the equator for photos, you could also buy some crafts at the nearby shops, reaching Kampala late evening.
