TOUR OVERVIEW
City Highlights Tour – Starts from Fort-Portal Tourism City-Uganda. Spend the Day exploring the city and its surroundings, after breakfast in the morning start to explore landmarks around the city, and explore nightlife after seven where you will have a chance to taste a local beer or a sip of wine and even surrounding national parks. It also involves optional bird watching, a nature walks through the Bigodi Swamp area, a visit to a community in the area, or a visit to one of the crater lakes.

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda
You will be met at the airport or hotel by the guide who will transfer you to the hotel reserved for you in fort portal. Dinner and overnight will be at this hotel.
Day 2: explore fort portal tourism city
Spend the Day exploring the city and its surroundings, after breakfast in the morning start to explore landmarks around the city like the golf course where you will see the portal, visit two markets and see the produces and also take part in bargaining, visit the king’s palace standing on the hill then have local lunch on one of the hotels in town before proceeding to karambi tombs where kings are buried from later evening after dinner move around town to explore nightlife after seven where you will have a chance to taste a local beer or a sip of wine after return back to the hotel for overnight.
Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking in kibale national park
After breakfast you will report at the Kanyanchu Tourist Centre in Kibale National Park at 08.00 am for a briefing before chimp trekking. The forest is only accessible on foot and the walk will provide you with the opportunity to also see a variety of other primates and animals as well as birds, and a variety of butterflies, and other insects. After having found the chimps you will spend one hour with your closest relatives and witness their behavior’s like grooming, swinging in the tree branches and mating. You will have a chance of taking pictures After you will have a local lunch in one of the homestead around the park before you go for either a community walk or visiting the beautiful Crater lakes region for a spectacular view. Dinner and overnight will be at your reserved lodge.
Day 4: visit the rift valley, Sempaya hot springs and Amabere ganyina mwiru(caves)
After your delicious breakfast, set out and visit the Sempaya hot springs which are the most attention-grabbing attractions in Semuliki. These springs have a geyser that shoots up from the 8 meters’ hole, and the water is at a high temperature of 103 degrees. The most interesting part about the springs is that one can boil matooke and eggs in the springs and they can get ready for eating in a few minutes. In fact, this is the largest hot spring in Uganda, today exercise your expertise in by preparing your own meal from the boiling hot springs and along the way you will see the lower ranges of rwenzori mountains and the rift valley then later on your way back to fort pass by the caves to see the stalagmites and stalactites return back for overnight at your lodge.
Day 5: transfer to queen Elizabeth national park
After an early morning cup of coffee or tea, you will drive to queen Elizabeth park for an early morning game drive in Kasenyi plains. Kasenyi plains boost of several wild animals whose chance of seeing them depends on your luck of the day. On a good day, you may spot big cats like lions and leopards hunting, buffaloes, elephants, several antelopes, warthogs and other small mammals then after have lunch and then drive to Mweya peninsular for a 2 hours’ boat cruise on Kazinga channel. Kazinga channel has the highest concentration of hippos in the whole world, over 400 water bird species and is a place where most animals converge to drink water. You will have high chances of spotting hippos, birds, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles and so much more. Later evening transfer back to fort portal for dinner and overnight.
