Tour Summary

This 12 day Uganda Rwanda safari starts from Kampala-Uganda and end in Kigali-Rwanda, you will go gorilla trekking in Bwindi forest impenetrable national Park in Uganda and Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. You will also go for a game drive and launch cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Other activities to be enjoyed include; - chimpanzee trekking, Dian Fosse hike and golden monkey tracking among others.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
On this day, you will arrive at Entebbe international airport. You will be met by our well trained driver guide who will transfer you to your hotel in Kampala, Uganda’s capital city.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale Forest National Park. The journey is interesting as you get breathtaking views of Uganda’s beauty full of nature wonders. Kibale Forest national park is a block protected rain forest protection 13 primate species as well as of 300 bird species. Reach in the evening and check in to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Kyaninga Lodge (Luxury)/ Primates lodge luxury tents (Luxury), Primates Lodge Deluxe (Mid-range) and Chimpanzee Guest House (budget).

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking at Kibale Forest National Park
Wake up early in the morning and have a cup of tea before going to the park quarters for briefing. After a short brief, you will go for an adventurous chimpanzee trekking in the Forest of Kibale National Park. While trekking the apes, you may encounter other primates like colobus monkeys, baboons and others. Return to the lodge for lunch and later in the evening you can engage in the Crater Lake walk, Bigodi swamps for the birders.
Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
On this day, you will be transferred to queen Elizabeth National park. This park is well known for harboring different wild animals and a game drive through it is a life changing experience. This is 2 hour drive journey and you will reach as early as possible visit the crater lakes like Katwe and have an experience of the local salt mining, the Nyakikogoro cultural women dancing group.
Overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge (luxury), Ihamba Lodge / Park view lodge (mid-range) and Simba safari camp (budget).

Day 5: Game drive and launch cruise in Queen Elizabeth national park
Wake up for early morning game drive at 6 am and on this drive, you will have a chance to view different wild animals like lions, buffaloes, elephants, Ugandan kobs and many more nocturnal animals and predators from hunting.
Return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch and rest before going for an evening launch cruise on the Kazinga channel at 2 pm for a 2 hour launch cruise where you will spot school of hippos, crocodiles and aquatic birds such as papyrus gonolek, saddle bill stock, African Fish eagle among others. Return the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Bwindi impenetrable national park for gorilla trekking passing Ishasha sector where you will be lucky to spot the relaxing tree climbing lions in the fig tree. This route takes 6 to 7 hours and you will reach in the evening, you will have a lunch stopover. check in your lodge for dinner and overnight at Chameleon Hill Lodge (luxury), Bakiga Lodge (Midrange) and Tarvan Trekkers Bwindi (Budget).

Day 7: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi
After your morning breakfast, your guide will pick you and drive you to the park quarters for briefing before the biggest event of gorilla trekking in the thick forests of Bwindi. The trek takes minutes to three quarters of the day and therefore you will go with your packed lunch and enough drinking water.Gorilla tracking is un predictable how long it will take there if time allows can do Batwa experience after the rest in the afternoon. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Transfer to Volcanoes national park
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Volcanoes national Park in Rwanda. This journey is quite long and therefore you will reach in the evening. Check in your lodge at the park for dinner and overnight. Mountain Gorilla View Lodge / The 5 Volcanoes Lodge (Luxury), Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge / Da Vinci Lodge (Mid-range) and The Garden Place Hotel (Budget).

Day 9: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After your breakfast, you will go for gorilla trekking in volcanoes national park. Have a thrilling experience in the forest with the gorillas and take some photos with them. You will go with your packed lunch since the trek may take three quarters of the day. Return the lodge if early and still energy visit Ibyiwachu cultural dance group. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 10: Golden monkey tracking
After breakfast, you will go for golden monkey trekking in Volcanoes National park. This is a lifetime experience as you get to meet these hard to find primates. Return to the lodge and rest while having a breathtaking view of the surrounding hills.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Kivu
After breakfast, you will have a scenic transfer to Lake Kivu. You will have lunch at the lodge before going for an evening boat ride on Lake Kivu. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 12.Transfer to Kigali and Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kigali. You will be driven to the airport and you will depart back to your home country.
